Magical Holiday Celebration is a variety special that aired on November 27, 2022 on ABC as part of The Wonderful World of Disney.

In 2008, the show The Wonderful World of Disney officially stops, before resuming timidly in 2012, then especially in 2016 for a series of special programs that are events. The Wonderful World of Disney then starts showing movies disneythen Marvelon ABC, as well as a series of special episodes, mostly filmed from American Theme Parks. Among them, Magical Holiday Celebration becomes, from 2016, an annual meeting which launches on the channel and, on behalf of The Walt Disney Company, the end of the year festivities. The 2022 show is therefore the seventh of its kind to be offered, still on the same format, airing over the long Thanksgiving weekend.
Jordan Sparks The Black Eyed Peas and Derek Hough
Like the two previous editions, the show Magical Holiday Celebration of 2022 is presented by brother and sister Derek Hough and Julianne Hough, known for their participation in the American show Dancing with the Stars on ABC. They then begin the program by setting fire to the Cinderella Castle Stageto MagicKingdom at Walt Disney World, in front of a frenzied crowd. They perform a Christmas medley mixing the rearranged songs of Such a Night, My Favorite Things (iconic excerpt from The Sound of Music) and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Almost all of the musical numbers, and the majority of the show, will also be offered from Florida: only the performances of Jordin Sparks and Meghan Trainor will have been recorded in California in a Disneyland Park emptied of its visitors. And even ! Only the streets of New Orleans Square will be shown.

Ethan Hill Julianne Hough and Ethan Hill’s family
Like every year, Magical Holiday Celebration highlights some people who have worked for the good of the community. The show then decides to present the voluntary work of a young boy of twelve, Ethan Hill, who has set up a distribution service of basic necessities for the poorest. Living in the city of Birmingham in Alabama, he chose despite his young age to invest in helping his neighbor by creating an association to help the homeless. A small report thus shows what he has put in place in his city. Touched by his story, disney invites the young boy and his family to come and spend a few days of vacation in Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. A second report shows him regaining his childhood joy for a few moments while he ends the evening interviewed by Derek Hough and Julianne Hough.
Tron Lightcycle Run Run DMC and Derek Hough
Magical Holiday Celebration also offers to promote some upcoming productions disney as well as a future attraction in one of their Theme Parks. First, a report highlights Tron Lightcycle Run which arrives in 2023 within Tomorrowland to MagicKingdom at Walt Disney World Resort. The show then offers a great clip promoting the fabulous year 2023 that awaits. The Walt Disney Company with the celebration with great pomp of its hundredth anniversary, an event named very appropriately Disney 100 Years of Wonder. Joseph Ward Simmons, also known as Rev Run or DJ Run, is promoting the special program in which he participated and which is broadcast on Disney+, The Nutcracker: The Hip-Hop Ballet. Finally, the highlight of the evening is the presentation of the event film Avatar: The Waterway by four cast members, Jamie Flatters, Michelle Yeoh, Trinity Bliss and Jack Champion, who also had the chance to go for a walk in the wonderful scenery and the magnificent attractions of the land Pandora: The World of Avatar at Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort.
Created on the same mold as previous shows, Magical Holiday Celebration is still magical, expertly animated and perfect for getting into the holiday spirit. If the singing interpretations were a little below those of previous years, the performances of Chloe Flower and Il Volo will be particularly appreciated.

Like every year, ABC is airing a second Christmas special on the morning of December 25, 2012, titled Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade. The majority of stars present during the program The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration are back to perform new cult Christmas songs.
