Aitzina Folk will put up for sale 50 vouchers that include all the activities of the festival at two prices, 80 and 120 euros. Both these vouchers and individual tickets (with prices ranging between 5 and 60 euros) they can be purchased through the festival website www.aitzinafolk.org.
All the profits obtained from the sale of tickets and row zero will be used to finance a gene therapy research project financed by Aefat, the association that brings together families affected by ataxia telangiectasia, in the Navarra University Clinic.
Vitoria – Gasteiz will host the X edition of the Aitzina Folk Solidarity Festival from October 15 to January 4. The program includes more than one Twenty activities for all audiences in different stages of the city.
The performances will begin on Saturday, October 15 at the Cathedral of Santa María with the presentation concert of the X Edition of Aitzina Folk, with Karlos Subijana & Lagunak, at 7:00 p.m. With free admission until full capacity.
Already in November, on Saturday the 19th, a kalejira will take place in the Old Town of Vitoria-Gasteiz, at 11:30 a.m. and the Beñat Etxepare Theater will host two events: on Friday the 25th, Mike McGoldrick & John McCusker and on Saturday the 26th, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh Trio, both at 7:00 p.m.
Aitzina Folk once again contributes to culture for the txikis of our city, with the programming of a family concert by the Binéfar Puppeteers on Sunday, November 27 at 12:00 noon at the Beñat Etxepare Theater.
The program will continue in December, when the bulk of the poster will take place. The Naán will stop at the Félix Petite Theater on Saturday 3rd at 7:00 p.m. and the following day, the Jesús Guridi Conservatory of Music will host the Meeting of Music Schools, at 12:00 p.m. In the afternoon, the Félix Petite Theater will host the Atlantic Folk Trio concert.
That same space will host Kutune’s performance on Friday, December 9, Ana Alcalde’s on Saturday 10, and Trivium Klezmer’s on Sunday 11, three o’clock at 7:00 p.m.
On Sunday, likewise, the family audience will be able to enjoy the ChicaCharcos show at 12:00 at the Félix Petite.
The agenda proposed by the solidarity festival will continue on Saturday 17, with a performance by Pärbo at the Beñat Etxepare Theater at 7:00 p.m.; a Folk Session on Sunday at 12:00 noon in a place to be determined and the Ara Malikian concert on Friday, December 30 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mendizorrotza Sports Center.
The program will culminate on Wednesday, January 4, with an evening starring Alos Quartet & friends, at 8:30 p.m. at the Teatro Principal.
Complementary activities
In addition to the musical proposals, Aitzina Folk has prepared a succulent complementary programme, which includes hurdy-gurdy, violin or harp workshops, txalaparta, uilleann pipe, irrintzis, dantzas, a session with the group Atlantic Trio and the screening of ‘Berpiztu’, a documentary about the figure of Kepa Junkera, premiered last September at the San Sebastián Film Festival.
