The XV World Harp Festival begins with talks and concerts

This Friday officially kicks off the 15th edition of the World Harp Festival. For three days, the public will be able to enjoy free concerts and workshops for all ages, as well as a free meeting of musicians.

Sixto Corbalán, artistic director of the event, expressed emotion before another edition of the World Harp Festival: “We have artists for all musical tastes; It is a varied, wide, diverse, eclectic and very professional festival. The festival is the ideal moment to live the experience, during these three days, of listening to the harp in all its formats”.

Likewise, the organizers invite you to take advantage of the workshops, which are the academic ingredient of the festival.

Within the festival, this activity is a unique and unrepeatable moment, and it is becoming one of the distinctive elements of the event”.

Ixto Corbalán comments that, currently, interpreters of this instrument wish to participate in the outstanding international event, born from the hand of Ana Scappini, executive director; and Marlene Sosa Lugo, culture enthusiast. Both took the initiative of the harpist Rito Pedersen and together they sought to turn Asunción into the World Capital of the Harp.
