The State Fair of Texas kicked off on September 30, 2022 with lots of fun activities for the whole family for its 136th annual edition.

Ticket prices for the 2022 State Fair of Texas are the same as 2021, but don’t miss out on the discounts offered every day of the week, if you know how to take advantage of them.

Before you spend your savings, check the regular prices for tickets and season passes.
Regular admission to the State Fair of Texas: A one-day ticket to the State Fair of Texas, Monday through Thursday, is $15 for adults and $10 for children and seniors.
On Fridays prices increase to $20 for adults and $15 for children and seniors.
And on Saturdays and Sundays they increase again to $25 for adults and $18 for children and seniors.
Tickets are sold online or at the entrance. There are special prices for groups of 25 people or more.
Season Passes: If you think you’ll be going to the fair more than three or four times during its 24-day run, it’s best to purchase a $50 season pass.
The pass comes with its perks, including a free take-a-friend ticket.

Purchase your State Fair tickets at Kroger and receive $3 off one-day tickets. The offer is available from September 1 to October 23, 2022.
At McDonald’s locations in North Texas, coupons will be on paper trays and inside bags of food.
There are $5 discounts on tickets for weekdays and $7 for weekends.
If you arrive at 5 pm or after any day, you will pay the price of a child’s ticket.
Tickets for children are $10 to $18, depending on the day.

(This promotion is part of the annual Dr Pepper Value Days discount, but out of an abundance of caution due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people are not being asked to bring empty Dr Pepper cans.)
Bring five cans of food to the North Texas Food Bank and enter the fair for $5 adults, children and seniors.

Seniors—anyone over the age of 60—pay $5, which is their half-price admission, every Thursday.

Tickets for members of the military, their spouses, and their children under 18 are discounted by $5 on weekdays and $7 on weekends.
Military ID is required.
The offer is the same for first responders and their families, with a discount limit of three family members.
