RBD is owed hits such as “Rebelde”, “Just stay silent”, “Save me”, “Teach me”, “A song”, “Fire”, “Be or seem”, “Your love”, “What is behind ”, “Unreachable”, “Behind me”, “And I can’t forget you”, “To forget about me” or “Goodbye”.
It all started when in 2002 the Argentine youth telenovela “Rebelde Way”, created by Cris Morena, saw the light of day. Together with her, its protagonists formed the musical group Erreway. Both the series, which aired in 2003, and the group were quite successful internationally, leading to other countries making their own versions and remakes.
And there was one of them that stood out above the rest and even surpassed the original series in fame. It is about the Mexican adaptation, “Rebelde”. Both the series and the musical group it gave rise to, “RBD”, garnered such popularity that they became an international mass phenomenon.

The telenovela was led by the actors Anahí Puente, Dulce María Espinosa, Maite Perroni, Christopher von Uckermann, Alfonso “Poncho” Herrera and Christian Chávez, who were also members of the musical group.
The RBD group managed to sell more than 15 million records worldwide, and raised more than 72.5 million dollars on their tours, with which they visited 23 countries and 116 cities.
They were active from 2004 to 2008, releasing their last studio album in 2009. In total, these were their studio albums: “Rebelde” (2004), “Nuestro amor” (2005), “Celestial” (2006), “ Rebels” (2006), “Start from scratch” (2007), “To forget about me” (2009).
Later, in 2020, a virtual concert, “Ser o parecer”, brought together some of the members again: Anahí, Christopher, Maite and Christian. They sold nearly 300,000 tickets for the event. That same year they released the single “I have always been here” and the live version of “Sálvame”.
That punctual return made one thing clear: the fans of “Rebelde” not only had not forgotten about the group, but they continued to expect more from them. And that is why now, at the end of 2022, they have announced that RBD will return to the stage in 2023.
It was last December 19 when the profile image of all of them became the logo of the band, after announcing the event “Soy Rebelde World Tour”, a world tour that will bring RBD back to the stage.
