Opera, theater, exhibitions, concerts with the orchestra and the chamber choir, as well as a guitar recital and much more, will be part of the Summer 2022 cultural billboard of the Universidad de las Américas Puebla.
The Summer 2022 cultural billboard began this Friday with the premiere of the zarzuela The hurta production by Ópera UDLAP, which is also presented this Sunday at the San Gabriel Convent, located in San Pedro Cholula.
Likewise, the Pride Fest was held, while the exhibition was inaugurated at the Casa de Cultura Tlanezcalli in San Andrés Cholula. children of the corn by Fátima Muñoz Pérez, finalist for the Pamela Ann Marquard Scholarship.
On June 22, the scholarship holders of this university will present the Show of the university artists in scene, in which the talent of the members of the diverse disciplines of art will be shown. On June 23, it will be the turn of the Symphony Orchestra in a concert that will take place in the Guillermo and Sofía Jenkins Auditorium, while on June 24 there will be a concert with the Chamber Choir at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Third Order of the Convent of San Gabriel, in San Pedro Cholula and on June 27 at 7:00 p.m. a guitar recital in the school’s performing arts room.
Capilla del Arte continues to offer an extensive virtual billboard through its traditional Musical Wednesdays, Movement Fridays and Creative Sundays. As an example of its active participation, from June 13 to 19 on its official social networks, the Chapel of University Art participates in the ninth edition of the Museum Week initiative whose central theme is culture, society and innovation.
Also, during this month it will present the plays: Eat your soup Y rules for memory, a musical capsule with Lulú Bulos, a graduate of Music from the Academic Center, and another with Alejandro Herrerías Sosme. As part of its Creative Sundays, the capsule will be presented Let’s sharpen our mind and the workshop Graph from home led by Diana Paola, a Plastic Arts student at the institution, in which some of the pictorial work of José Luis Cuevas, an artist from the university’s Art Collection, will be revealed.
In addition to the presentations that Culture of the institution will make in the Convent of San Gabriel, the Franciscan Library and the Historical Archive of the Province of the Holy Gospel of Mexico, protected by that house of studies, resume visits to its facilities. This space is open to the general public from Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., while for consultations in the archive the schedule was established from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
