And it is that Atacama was born as a modest project in the heart of a family with Latin American ties. The Pernerstorfer brothers wanted to keep alive beautiful memories of the exciting years they had lived in Latin America. At the same time, the band wanted to contribute a bit by supporting efforts to achieve a better future for the entire continent. Nothing like music to convey emotions and truths around the world, because its language is universal.

The same Friday, but at 10:30 p.m., radical change of registration to host the tribute concert I’M NOT MAIDEN which, as its name indicates, “are not Iron Maiden, but the illusion and work to reproduce as faithfully as possible the songs of the popular British heavy metal group, has led them to show a repertoire that to date has had a great response, quite a claim for those who have followed the original band since its inception.”

I’m not maiden they compose it: Dignoray, voice; Gustavo Mediavilla, guitar; Carlos Falcon, guitar; Álvaro Medina, bass, and Fran López, drums.

The Saturday 28th, at 8:30 p.m., new premiere at Fábrica La Isleta in the key of reggae with the band The Conqueror Project that presents its new album in Gran Canaria Dublab Vol2. A new work that comes to represent the consolidation of the unique identity of a group made up of veteran musicians from the reggae scene who have decided to put Dub at the center of their project. Years of concerts in which improvisation and constant interaction between producer and live band have worked to fluency. The album captures these dynamics to perfection giving more importance than ever to the Dub mix by Julio Armas (the Conqueror of Dub) and the curiosity to create different textures and soundscapes through the use of a multitude of additional instruments (harmonica, harp, sitar, steel guitar) that dress up each issue. An album that has to be classified under the Dub label and that definitely sets the band apart from the clichés perpetually associated with reggae.

The Conqueror Project are Diego Hdez -natural teacher-, guitar, voice, harmonica, steel, slide; Julio Armas, -the conqueror of dub-, dubmaster; Hector Mesa, drums; Jaime Perez, bass; Jóse Pablo Rodrigo -Ösay-, guitars; Eduardo Morales, keyboards, and Carlos Pérez, percussion.
