Karol G: this was the two concerts of the paisa singer in Bogotá

“Thank you, Bogota. Thank you for being in my life, ”Karol G said on Sunday night before the 14,000 people who attended his concert at Movistar Arena. It was the second concert in the capital of the ‘Bichota tour’, which has left hundreds of reactions on social networks.

Both presentations were ‘sold out’, that is, the tickets were sold out. The songs from his album ‘KG0516’, with which he won a Billboard award last week, were played at the venue and thousands of children, young people and adults sang his hits. ‘200 copas’, ‘Location’, ‘Leyendas’ and ‘Tusa’ were some of the ones that the artist performed.

The two concerts had the same staging, which was in charge of Diomar García and Stage Eventos. There was a main stage with stairs in the middle that divided the stage into three levels, something that he has replicated at other times, such as in Cali and Coachella. The team with which she appeared was made up of all women: dancers and musicians were part of the show.

Some 28,000 people attended Karol G’s concerts in Bogotá in two days.

On Saturday, the concert started around 10:40 at night. For a little over two hours, the reggaeton singer sang hits like ‘Ocean’, ‘Don’t be shy’, ‘El makinon’ and ‘Now he calls me’. On this tour, Karol G has invited guests to her presentations, especially related to the culture of the place. For the first night Andrés Cepeda appeared with white flowers for the singer and sang ‘Day after day’ with her. Later he sang only ‘Used Kisses’.

Among the news of that day that were commented on social networks was the presence of Mayor Claudia López and Senator Angélica Lozano -they were also there for a moment on the second day-, Karol G’s invitation to a young man who tweeted that he could not attend because she had to study, a woman with her friends dressed as a bride among the audience in the audience and the ‘bichota’ putting on a green bag that her fans passed her.

For Sunday, the show started earlier, around 9:30 at night. The opening act was DJ Agudelo 888, who danced the best reggaeton classics before Karol G appeared on stage. The guests were Jorge Celedón and Jean Carlos Centeno, who sang the classic vallenato ‘A sleepy bear’ and they gave the singer a giant stuffed animal of a brown bear. Later, they sang ‘Forget it’.

Another thing that people highlighted was the second stage that was on the other side of the main stage. As happened in Cali, at one point during the two presentations, the singer went to the audience there to perform other of her songs, such as ‘Provenza’, her most recent international success.

The staging had lights, cold pyrotechnics, smoke and giant screens. Most of the attendees were given a bracelet that changed color according to the song. For the choreography of the song ‘Bichota’, the dancers used mesh ‘bars’ on stage. The last two songs of the two nights were ‘Tusa’ and ‘Provenza’, which she repeated after having sung it on the secondary stage.

One of the guests in the audience for this second concert was Rafael Santos, son of Diomedes Díaz, who presented him with the complete musical collection of the ‘Cacique de la Junta’. This was shared through his social networks.

The shows are part of the reactivation of concerts and festivals in the country, and they were moments where love, spite and female empowerment coincided in the same place. In this way, the capital’s public was delighted with the lyrics of Karol G, one of the most important Colombian artists today.
