The Black Heritage Choir
Once again in the Trui Teatre room we will attend an authentic commemoration to put the climax to the XV edition of the festival. One of the shows that has most influenced the standards of African-American music, ‘Amazing Grace. A Gospel Celebration To Aretha Franklin’ by The Black Heritage Choir, a selection of singers from Mississippi Mass Choir. Thus, in December we will be able to vibrate again with the themes of the original LP, plus some hits by Aretha Franklin, interpreted by the voices of this choir, directed by the organist, teacher and pianist of the great choir of the state of Mississippi, Jerry Calvin Smith. The show has an echo of the magic that only live concerts can have, made of warmth, humanity and joy. It is also a song of nostalgia and an emotional vindication of the men and women who made the Gospel culture possible from the black churches of the United States.
