Madrid City Council will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Day this Wednesday, October 12, with a music and fireworks show in Plaza de Cibeles. It is the first time that the council joins these celebrations with its own initiatives, which will begin with the traditional parade of the Armed Forces.

At 9:00 p.m., in front of the Cibeles Palace, a concert by Marina Carmona will begin, in which she will perform her own songs and versions of mythical songs such as Come to Madridcomposed by his father Antonio Carmona, leader of the Ketama group.
At the end of the concert, there will be a fireworks show that will close the festivities. They will shine to the sound of scores by some of the great composers of Spanish music such as Albéniz, Falla, Turina and Cristóbal Halffter. It will be the closing of a day that will start with the usual parade of the Armed Forces presided over by King Felipe VI, in which more than 4,000 soldiers, 150 vehicles and 84 aircraft will participate.
