Ed Sheeran says he would call Taylor Swift in a bad situation
In an interview with GQ UK, Sheeran opened up about his friendship with the pop star and how he draws inspiration from her work.
“You know that Taylor and I have had a friendship for ten years now; we’ve seen each other evolve as people,” Sheeran shared. “I thought that what she did with the two albums that she put out during the pandemic is how the albums will be released in the future. It’s how I would like to do it.”
“Taylor is someone I would definitely call if things were really screwed up,” the singer continued. “This is not just an exercise in naming and sounding like c***; I remember being in Los Angeles, two years into my degree, and all my friends were famous people and I was so…miserable.
“I came to this conclusion where I said to myself, ‘No one here really loves me.’ They loved the idea of me, but nobody really loves me. So I left. Forever,” Sheeran concluded.
