To celebrate the Bicentennial of the Battle from Pichinchathe Municipality, Through Quito Tourism, the Ministry of Culture and other entities of the Mayor’s Office organized more than 250 activities that you can enjoy throughout the year for the 200 years of Independence.

The different options for celebrate This heroic deed aims to preserve the historical memory of the Battle of Pichincha on May 24, 1822. The organizers have devised different events to commemorate the Bicentennial in Quito. Among these activities are: exhibitions, concerts, dramatized tours, meetings, visits to museums, workshops and a proclamation.

Samples: May 20 to 24

From Quito to Ecuador’. It is a sample on the history of the Royal Court of Quito and the Constitution of the Republic. This event will take place on Friday, May 20 and Saturday, May 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Alberto Mena Caamaño Museum. There will also be another exhibition on Tuesday, May 24, but the hours will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the same place.
