Lollapalooza revealed the mystery and confirmed a new edition in Argentina next year at the same time that the line up was announced.

The festival will be on March 17, 18 and 19, 2023 at the San Isidro Hippodrome, and the sale in the “early bird” mode, without knowing the list of artists, was a success.

Instead, since yesterday the grid of artists was announced and the sale of subscriptions was also resumed.

The eighth version of the festival in Buenos Aires will feature outgoing performances by Drake, Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X. Or rather, it will be the debut of this trio on local stages. Although the Canadian rapper Drake has been waiting for a long time in Argentina, his landing will happen thanks to his brand new album: ‘Honestly, Nevermind’.

Meanwhile, the American singer-songwriter, creator of ‘Bad guy’, will finally be able to present to her Argentine fans the hits included in her celebrated albums ‘When We All Fall Asleep’, ‘Where Do We Go?’ and ‘Happier Than Ever’. It will also be a great opportunity to enjoy Lil Nas X, a queer rapper who challenged the extreme right in the United States and generates controversy with each presentation and performance.

In addition to the aforementioned Drake, Bille Eilish and Lil Nas X, another of the Lollapalooza Argentina 2023 headliners will be Blink-182, with the added bonus that this time they will come with their original line-up. As part of the 30th anniversary of the founding of this punk pop emblem, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker will have frontman Tom DeLonge back on their next world tour.

Those who are also on tour are the Australians Tame Impala, and they will take advantage of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of their consecration album ‘Lonerism’ to return to Buenos Aires. And all this courtesy of the festival in which they performed for the last time in the country, in 2016. What undoubtedly generated surprise was the inclusion of Rosalía. And it is that the Catalan singer has just offered two shows in Buenos Aires with which she not only established an idyll with the Argentine audience, but also consecrated her as one of the current figures of the world musical avant-garde.

In turn, other artists from different parts of the world will be present, such as Jane’s Addiction, The 1975, Armin Van Buuren, Jamie XX, Kali Uchis, Fred Again, Claptone, Tove Lo, Conan Gray, Cigarettes After Sex, Polo & Pan, Aurora, Omar Apollo, Modest Mouse, Antillean Villain.

Argentine presence

As is well known, this festival also encourages local talent. Argentina will be represented by musicians of different styles and generations such as María Becerra, Thunder, You Signal Me, Diego Torres, Chano, Marilina Bertoldi, among many others.

In addition to announcing the full lineup, the festival reactivated ticket sales. The last three-day tickets can now be purchased to enjoy this eighth edition of one of the most important festivals in the world. Tickets are only on sale through the Allaccess platform.

The price of a pass for three days is $50,000 plus service charge. And in its VIP mode, it costs $75,000 plus service charge.
